  3. This ftp server contains programs and documentation related to the
  4. Self programming language and the Self system.  The individual directories
  5. are:

  7. benchmarks  --  Source code for some benchmarks in C++, Self, Smalltalk, and T
  8.  
  9. papers      --  PostScript versions of all published papers on Self, plus
  10.         Craig Chamber's Ph.D. thesis
  11.  
  12. Self-2.0.1  --  The current Self system (binaries and documentation)
  13.  
  14. self-interest-log --  
  15.         Postings to the mailing list self-interest@self.stanford.edu.
  16.         Send mail to self-request@self.stanford.edu to be added to
  17.         the list (please don't send mail to the list itself!).
  18.  
  19. sniff        --  The Sniff C++ programming environment (Sniff is *not* part
  20.         of the Self system - please send e-mail regarding Sniff to its
  21.         creator, proto@ifi.unizh.ch, not to us).
