****** Welcome to the SELF ftp server at Stanford *******
This ftp server contains programs and documentation related to the
Self programming language and the Self system. The individual directories
are:
benchmarks -- Source code for some benchmarks in C++, Self, Smalltalk, and T
papers -- PostScript versions of all published papers on Self, plus
Craig Chamber's Ph.D. thesis
Self-2.0.1 -- The current Self system (binaries and documentation)
self-interest-log --
Postings to the mailing list self-interest@self.stanford.edu.
Send mail to self-request@self.stanford.edu to be added to
the list (please don't send mail to the list itself!).
sniff -- The Sniff C++ programming environment (Sniff is *not* part
of the Self system - please send e-mail regarding Sniff to its
creator, proto@ifi.unizh.ch, not to us).
e-mail (all addresses @self.stanford.edu)
* to be added to the Self interest list: send mail to self-interest-request.
(same for remove, change...)
* to post an article to self-interest: send mail to self-interest
* to report bugs: send mail to self-bugs
* to report problems with ftp: send mail to ftp-bugs
Enjoy!
